Relaxation and Peace. (Plus a Bonus for Next Week)

"Real happiness will come, not in gratifying our desires or in gaining passing pleasures, but in accomplishing God's will for us."

That's true......but......I'm confused....How do we know what God's will is for us?

Every day, I've been thinking and asking, "What do You want me to do today, Lord?"

.......Silence.......

And so, I just do whatever comes to mind, assuming that is what He is conveying me to do.

And at the end of every day, I've always been asking, "Have I done what You wanted me to do today, Lord?"

............

Still, no answer though.

I don't get a reply.

That is why I can't confirm if I'm doing the right thing.

Looks like I've been reading too much lately. XD

But one thing I noticed after practicing meditation everyday.....is that, I feel like my heart and mind is, most of the time, at peace.

Before, I have been unconsciously categorizing my day as good or bad.

But now, I see every day as......literally a day. XD Not good, not bad, but a day.

How? Just by being mindful of the things or sounds around me at every moment.

Mindfulness is hard, to be honest.

Thoughts keep coming in and most of the time it is unwanted.

But you know, even though it is unwanted and really loves to sneak in my brain, I realized that they just come and go.

So I'm practicing to just let the thoughts in and let it go (huwag mong hayaang mag-stay).

It helps me calm down and focus on the things that I should be doing.

I have yet to explore the other things that meditaion has to offer, but I will come to that later on.

It does not take too much time to medidate every day. 5-10 minutes will do. But it is good to be consistent.

If you want to try it as well, you can download:

1. "Meditation & Relaxation: Guided Meditation" from the Play Store (developer is Fitness22)

Or

2. "Headspace: Guided Meditation" from the App Store (developer is Headspace Inc.)

They are kind of similar, but has different take on guiding us.

Visually I like Headspace, but aurally I like Fitness22. It really depends on each person's preference though.

Try it out. You might not notice any difference from your first session, but it will progress as you continue with it (it has 10 sessions = 10 days).

That's all for now.

P.S.

Next Friday my post will be about Coach Jason Dulay's talk on The Freelancer's Fair, and I'm going to share a TFF discount code you can use if you are planning to enroll on his bootcamp. It is a 15% discount code. And you can also get my affiliate coupon code, which is a 10% one. So in total, you can have a 25% discount upon checkout from the course.  Discount, discount, discount!
