Goodbye 2022, Hello 2023 🙂🎉🎆

 Another year is about to pass.

I reached another milestone of my life by turning 30.

Entered a new chapter when I got married.

Have gone to different places.

Gathered a lot of experiences and memories.

Met a lot of people, old and new.

And I think most of it I was able to share through my blog, though there are still some in the drafts.

Before this year ends, let me just say thank you very much to all of you who continues to silently support my blog, no matter how random it is, no matter how infrequent I've published this year.

PRC | Change of Status Due to Marriage

 As I previously mentioned, I would need to update my records with PRC to be able to renew my license.

And I have just done so today.

II. Wedding Dress: White Lily Bridal by Patty Valle

If I'm not mistaken, ito ang pinakaunang wedding supplier na na-book namin. 

Even before the church and reception. 

I was thinking kasi na if ito ang inuna ko and tagilid yung dress, I would have plenty of time to fix it or look for another.

As you may have already read from my previous blog post, I tried different wedding dresses from Divisoria na nakatulong sa aking makapagdecide kung anong dress ang gusto ko talaga.

Holiday Break & Catching Up

 

Hooray for my holiday break~! 🥳

Yesterday was the start of my holiday.

Like I did last year, I saved my annual leave and used it in one stretch. 

Actually I was given more leaves this year for our honeymoon but we haven't planned where to spend it to so I saved it for the last month of the year.

Basically, yun na lang ang natira because I have already used my annual leaves for the wedding planning and my birthday.

So now, I have my 1-week holiday break from the remaining leaves I have and then by Christmas the team will be on Christmas break like we used to, I believe.

I will see them next year then. Yun ang sabi sa akin eh. 😁

VA Bootcamp is shutting down

As I was leisurely scrolling through my Facebook this weekend, my eyes caught a question in our VA Bootcamp students group if the above news is legit.

I was shocked and had to scroll more to confirm.

Indeed, they had announced it through email and coach Jason also held an FB live to confirm that it is true.

Then the following day, they informed us via text message that the installer would be coming.

The installer called my aunt (as her number is the primary contact) to say they are on their way and that we would have to prepare a payment of Php 849.50.

Napagastos ako sa 9.9 Lazada Sale 😆

I only bought four (4) items during the sale, but I paid a total of almost Php 4,000. 😆

But these items have been sitting in my cart or wishlist for a long time na. 

Binabalik balikan ko yung list ko from time to time and pinapakiramdaman ko yung sarili ko kung gusto ko pa ring bilhin, and I remove the items na I don't think that I still want/need. 

The fact na these 4 stayed there for a long time means I still want to purchase it. 

Kaso you know that feeling na may pagdadalawang isip ka pa kung ichicheckout mo na o huwag pa. 

But last Friday's 9.9 sale was the deal for me that made me checkout these items for real.

Soooo yeah.

As straightforward as it can be, I just turned 30.

For the younger generation, I may be old for them.

For the older ones, I may still be a baby.

For me, I actually don’t know where I stand.

Have I matured enough to be called an adult?

Or still a childish, spoiled brat?

I. Wedding Planning and Requirements Experience

We are a couple who are not fond of planning.

Not that we don’t plan at all, but we usually do things spontaneously.

That is why it took us a year after we got officially engaged to get hitched.

As I was drafting my supposed-to-be post for today, I changed my mind in the last minute as I am ecstatic to share my experience with the Samsung store - Ayala Malls Marikina branch.

My phone for more than 2 years got broken when we were doing some ocular during our wedding planning.

I slipped down the unrefined stairs while holding my phone at yun ang tumama sa semento.

Ayun, nabasag ang screen.

A Quick Wedding Recap

Our wedding was yet another that was beyond the norm.

No flower girls, no ring bearer, no maid of honor, no best man, etc.

We only had our principal sponsors and secondary sponsors (who also had been our bridesmaids and groomsmen).

Talking about practicality and time saver, huh?

We confirmed this first with the church and they said it was fine.

Even with our reception program, only the essentials were included, and activities that would include everyone's participation, so that no one will be left out and that it would conclude at the earliest time possible to enable everyone to rest (majority of the guests were coming from far places).

Even the sitting arrangement was not the usual.

So people who are traditional and idealistic won't really appreciate all these.

So I had this problem of cashing in from PayPal, again.

But this time, I have my younger brother, Poy, with me in this. Haha

This has already happened to me years ago and what worked for me back then was to relink my PayPal to GCash.

Vacation | Puerto Galera [Tamaraw Beach Resort and White Beach]

Akalain niyo yun, nakapag-swimming ulit ang lola niyo. 😂

Usually parang once every 'summer' aka dry season lang ako nakakapag-swimming.

Yun bang kapag nakapag-outing na ng isang beses, okay na, next year na ulit ang susunod.

But look at this 'bakasyonista', nakaulit pa. Haha

After 2 years, we, Catholics, were finally able to physically attend the church activities this Holy Week.

I missed this. 🙂

Vacation | Edna's Beach and Campsite

Finally, a much-needed break, and our very first couple getaway. 😊

The past few weeks have been hectic.

No wonder burnout is peeping from the sidelines.

We actually planned to camp at Edna's around mid-March, but all of the month's weekends were already fully booked.

The nearest date available was the 2nd of April, so kahit feeling namin malayo layo na yun, ibinook na rin namin.

At least we had time to prepare.

Or have we? Haha

Just to clarify, I was not locked out from my GCash account, but my aunt did. Well I actually did it, with her account.

Not that there has been no happenings in the background.

Truth is, there’s a lot!

Before our trip to Pangasinan last December, my bf and I agreed to get Coco, our car, checked to make sure everything is fine for the long drive.

We have been hearing this clacking sound every time we shift to first and third gears actually, and based on his online research and inquiries, it could be coming from the shifting cable.

Before the stricter implementation of Alert Level 3 in multiple places in the Philippines, we all were given a chance to enjoy the Christmas holiday or even the month of December in general in a near to normal way when we were in Alert Level 2.

But even if they did not ease the guidelines, it was part of my plan for the year to use all of my annual leave at once in December.

Like I would spend my whole day at home, doing nothing. 😆

Unexpectedly, I experienced more than that. 🙂

Going back to the main purpose of this very first post of the new year, with Lazada's recent update, when I go to Account > Coins, it now shows Coins Tree as well.

I explored all of Lazada's options and thankfully I was still able to find Fun Farm.

No worries because it is still a simple and easy two-step process.
