Vacation | Edna's Beach and Campsite

Finally, a much-needed break, and our very first couple getaway. 😊

The past few weeks have been hectic.

No wonder burnout is peeping from the sidelines.

We actually planned to camp at Edna's around mid-March, but all of the month's weekends were already fully booked.

The nearest date available was the 2nd of April, so kahit feeling namin malayo layo na yun, ibinook na rin namin.

At least we had time to prepare.

Or have we? Haha

One thing I really wanted to have is a video camera.

Small and waterproof.

I was contemplating DJI's Osmo Pocket 2 because it is very handy and good at capturing moments because it can follow your movements.

That would be a good fit for me, being a lousy videographer as I am.

But maybe because it is not waterproof, and I would have to buy a waterproof case, kaya hindi ko magawang bilhin talaga.

The moment though that I saw DJI Action 2, my goodness, I was sold at first sight! 😆

It is very compact and waterproof. Even much smaller than the Pocket 2.

I love it! Plus the accessories din.

That is what I needed.

That is what I was looking for.

So a week after bumili ni bf ng DJI Mini 2 niya, I bought my Action 2.

😍

Given that we had already shopped at Decathlon, and I already have a tent and hammock which my friends and I used in our Manuel Uy vacay before, we thought we are ready.

There's only one thing that I was really pushing to buy but he didn't want to.

A mini table to pair with our mini chairs.

He said we can use my laptop table instead.

I had a bad feeling about it but who knows?

Haha

And surely, since this is our first getaway and first time going on an overnight beach camp, this would be experimental.

We will see what works, what could be done next time, etc.

So come the D-day, I forgot to bring my tripod. HAHAHAHA

Goodness gracious me.

We departed from home at 9AM and after more than an hour, nasa Ortigas Extension pa rin kami. HAHAHA

Nagpa-gas pa kasi kami (kahit kamahalan ng gasolina) and naghanap pa kami ng mapagpapahanginan ng gulong.

We had a little side trip at Loumars Cafe & Restaurant - Tagaytay Francisco to have our lunch around 12:00PM.

Super yummy and the ambiance is very nice.😋

Medyo pricey nga lang, at least for me.

Pero siguro you pay for the place as well din kasi.

Sa mukha, parang tuyo at matabang yung grilled pusit, but don't judge a book by its cover.

The taste is different from what you see.

Bumili na rin kami ng mangangata sa pasalubong corner nila such as Broas, Uraro, and ChichaPop.

We also had a quick stop at a Robinsons Supermarket along the way to buy some food na lulutuin namin for dinner, bread for breakfast and also some drinks.

2PM ang check-in sa Edna's for the overnight campers, but we arrived past 4PM na.

I think our arrival time is fine, para at least tapos na ang katirikan ng araw.

Oh hey there, my laptop table. Haha

Akala ko this would be a disadvantage and a disappointment, but man, to tell you, akala ko hindi pwedeng mag-ingay kaya hindi ako nagdala ng speaker, but left and right, mayroong nagpapatugtog.

The family to our left has 2 pugs na nakakatuwa ring panoorin.

Then we watched the sunset.

HAHAHA

My aunt bought a portable gas years ago na never naman nagamit.

Yun ang dinala naming lutuan and we just bought a butane sa convenience store.

We watched a video and set it up, at nung subukan na naming i-on, walang apoy na lumabas.🤦

Then he decided to check the store kung makakabili siya ng posporo.

Yup, may store sa loob ng Edna's and fortunately, mayroon sila noon.

Finally! 😆

Ganito ang setup namin.

Really delighted I was able to use the lights I bought before.

May clips ito so napakadaling isipit kung saan-saan.

I even moved it inside the tent noong oras na para matulog.

Sooo handy.

I don't know but the food seemed to taste better that time, maybe because the ambiance and surroundings were perfect kahit kulang kulang kami sa gamit.

Kami, nakaupo lang beside the beach, nagmumuni muni.

It would have been better kung ino-off nila ang ilaw past 11:00PM tulad sa Treasure Mountain, that way, mas maaappreciate pa ang mga bituin sana.

But nonetheless, it was a nice experience.

I also wished na kabilaan ang restrooms nila.

Eh nasa kaliwa kami.

So every time na magwiwiwi ako, mahabang lakaran, men.

Malamig na pala sa gabi.

I was expecting na magiging mainit, especially tabi lang kami ng dagat, I even brought a mini fan with me.

What I appreciate din dito is we feel safe.

Puro kami nakabukas yung inside ng tents and only the nets ang nakasara, para pumasok ang hangin.

Woke up to this view.

I think we swam from around 8:30/9:00AM until 10:45AM.

I was so excited to use my action cam, but all of my shots were videos so I have nothing to share here. 😆

Hopefully sipagin akong gawin ang video (kahit hindi ko pa rin nahaharap yung paggawa sa Palawan trip namin ni aunt way back in 2019). 🙈

Checkout is at 12:00PM, but we checked out past 1:00PM.

We ordered our lunch from Edna's store and had it delivered sa tent namin.

Sinigang na salmon belly + Ensaladang talong + 2pcs C2 + 3 pcs rice

May ice cream din sila. 😉

After namin maglunch ay saka niya sinubukang paliparin ang drone niya.

Medyo kulang pa sa practice since we didn't know what to do noong black screen lang ang nagpapakita sa Fly app while we were recording so we were not able to adjust the brightness and whatknot.

Result, some of the shots were very bright na para na kaming nasa langit!

Buti at mayroon pa rin namang matino kahit papaano. 😆

So make sure to bring your aqua shoes, guys.

I forgot to bring mine, so nagkagalos galos ako.

Overall, it was a relaxing experience.

In this day and age, you would just want to have peace and stay healthy.

And this quick getaway recharged me from the day to day life.

Medyo nawala sa isip ko yung mga nakakastress na bagay and had me focused on what's in front of me. 😊

Let's see. 😁

Well then, until next time~!

~~~~
This is the quotation of Edna's to my bf (nakaindicate pala talaga na malayo sa restroom 😑)
He paid Php 700 to reserve, then we paid the remaining Php 500 onsite.
Update:
The video is now out! Owyeaaaah, ilang gabi ko rin ‘tong ginawa. I hope you enjoy as much as I did while creating this. 😊
