Samsung - Ayala Malls Marikina Has a Lot of FREEBIES 🤩

As I was drafting my supposed-to-be post for today, I changed my mind in the last minute as I am ecstatic to share my experience with the Samsung store - Ayala Malls Marikina branch.

My phone for more than 2 years got broken when we were doing some ocular during our wedding planning.

I slipped down the unrefined stairs while holding my phone at yun ang tumama sa semento.

Ayun, nabasag ang screen.

We were looking for offers/promos whenever we pass by any Samsung stores (yup, doon ko talaga planong bumili), until we finally found one na talagang kakagatin ko. Haha

It was last week’s Saturday and we were just strolling around Ayala Malls Marikina after our unproductive  visit from the church para sana kunin yung marriage papers namin.

We went in the store to ask about the unit I have in mind kung may promo sila.

It is the Samsung Galaxy S22.

My main reason is aside from its IP rating, I also like the size.

Nahihirapan akong ibulsa yung broken phone ko which was Samsung A50s dahil sa size niya.

Kahit sa maliliit na sling bag, madalas hindi kasya.

Initially I was looking for a 5-inch phone and at least IP67 ang rating para hindi na ako mag-aalalang mailublob sa tubig for our future trips.

Nadala na kasi ako sa last trip namin na kinailangan ko yung phone ko for payment but I left it sa room namin dahil magwawater activities kami.

I thought of Apple’s iPhone 13 mini, pero hindi ako sold.

I’m still occasionally using the iPhone 6 that I got from my aunt’s postpaid plan (uy, nagbayad naman ako ng Php 2.4k nun 😆) and ang naging problem ko is mababa ang milliampere, kaya nakakailang beses ako ng charge sa isang araw.

And as I checked out iPhone 13 mini, around 2,400 mah lang, so it’s not for me.

While yung Samsung S22 is 3,700 mah. Not bad. Hindi malayo sa battery ng A50s ko na 4,000 mah.

So bale itong S22, lumiit at nabawasan lang ng konting mah compared sa gamit ko.

But I know hindi ko naman mararamdaman iyon dahil nga sa mas maliit na screen ay mas mababawasan din yung konsumo sa battery.

And ang reason kung bakit napabili na ako sa Samsung store ng Ayala Malls Marikina ay dahil maliban sa promo ng Samsung online and physical stores na free 24” Samsung Monitor, inaccept din nila yung basag kong phone for trade-in at may top-up pang Php 5,000.

Sa ibang napagtanungan kasi namin ay wala ito.

Estimated value ng basag kong phone was Php 1,700 dahil working pa naman.

But, hindi pa ako nag-proceed that same day.

Sabi ko kay hubby pag-iisipan ko muna dahil may mga important apps at accounts ako na kailangan kong masiguradong maililipat ko sa bagong phone bago ko i-trade-in yung luma.

Baka kasi biglang mag-ask ng athentication from my old phone kapag ni-log in ko sa bago, patay tayo diyan. 😅

After kong ma-secure, nagback up na rin ako that night, then binalikan na namin kinabukasan. Haha yup, ganoon kami kadali kausap. 😆

Pagbalik namin, doon na talaga na-value ng maayos yung basag kong phone which was reduced to Php 600.

Pero kahit ganun, tinuloy pa rin namin ang pagbili dahil mayroon pa rin namang top-up. So Php 600 + Php 5,000 ang katumbas nung trade-in.

Ang kinuha ko na rin ay yung 256gb ang storage dahil kapag in-apply yung above discounts, magiging kapresyo na lang siya ng 128gb na unit at mas mababa pa.

To my surprise, aba hindi pa pala nagtatapos sa free 24” monitor ang freebies nila.

May free pang Promate speaker, Samsung silicone cover, Smart sim, Ultimate freebies ng Samsung which includes a monopod with bluetooth remote, speaker, selfie ring light, and a ring holder, and finally ang pinaka-nagustuhan ko, a 25W Adapter!

Panalo yung adapter, for me, because usually, phones sold nowadays do not include an adapter, only the USB cable. You will have to buy it separately.

So waging wagi na ako dito. 😄

It took us 30 minutes or so to transfer all my files from my old phone using the cable and setting up the new phone. 

The files were around 90gb.

Then I also manually exported the accounts from the authenticator because as checked, only the app got transferred, but yung laman ay hindi.

So if you are also using Google authenticator, make sure you manually export the accounts as well.

After kong ma-check na okay na, finactory reset na nila yung old phone ko and had me check it as well.

I removed it from my authorized devices from all of my accounts as well for extra security.

Suuupeeer happy with my new phone.

Hubby also offered to swipe his card, so I’m going to pay it for 24 months para hindi ramdam dahil wala naman nang additional discount kung cash babayaran, so credit card it is. 😄

P.S. 

The 24" Samsung Monitor will be delivered to us latest September 2022, they said. They assisted us with the process of claiming it online as well.

The Samsung Monitor has been delivered! Correction: it is 22".
