GCash | Tried Investing Money for P50

I've created a post last October about GCash' new offer on their app, the GCash Invest. You can check it here: GCash | The New Invest Money For as Low as P50

There I've shared what I've learned about GCash Invest (the things you need to know about it, what I've researched about it, etc) and the registration I've gone through and how many days it took to get approved.

Now, it took me a month to actually try and invest money in it.

I honestly forgot about GCash Invest already after my registration got approved!

I have just been reminded by one person who's interested to invest in it and there we decided to put money at the same time and compare our investment's movement.

We started on December 05, Wednesday.

Medyo nauna lang siya dahil masyado siyang atat. Nag-invest siya ng umaga ng P200, which is ang usapan lang namin is tig-P50 muna dapat...talagang pabida eh.

At ako naman around 11AM ng P50.

Ang measurement nila ng investment sa GCash Invest is by "unit".

Sa kanyang P200 ay mayroon siyang 1.9 unit.

At sa P50 ko naman ay mayroon akong 0.47 unit.

Take note, hindi agad agad available iyon pagka-subscribe sa Investment product na napili mo.

So here's what I went through in investing to GCash Invest.

I went to the Invest Money tab on the GCash app and tapped on View Investment Products.

View Details under ATRAM Peso Money Market Fund.

Tapped on Subscribe.

Here, you'd have to tap on an invisible checkbox to be able to proceed. 😒

This is where the checkbox is located.

Please read the User Agreement that pops up for your reference at para malaman niyo rin ang pinapasok niyo. Huwag lang pasok ng pasok. 😜

You can see in the User Agreement that the cut-off for the investment in this fund (ATRAM Peso Peso Money Market Fund) is 9AM on business days. Orders you place after 9AM will be processed the next business day.

Once you tap on the Proceed button, you will be asked to enter an Authentication Code that will be sent on your registered GCash mobile number. Tap on Submit Code after entering the code.

Enter the amount you want to invest. As you can see below, Standard order processing time is 1-2 business days after order placement. Tap on Next.

Summary of your investment details will be shown (see photo below). You'd have to check again the invisible checkbox beside "I agree to the Terms of this subscription." According to their Subscription Disclaimer (this is what appears after you tap on the invisible checkbox), this is NOT a deposit and is NOT insured by the PDIC. Returns cannot be guaranteed by the product provider as the fund manager and GCash as a service provider, and historical NAVPU/S is for illustration of NAVPU/S movements/fluctuations only.

Hit Confirm.

And a Subscription Order Placed message will appear.

I received a text message from GCash Invest as well to confirm my order placement.

Yung P50 ko napunta sa "My Pending Orders", although nabawas na siya sa GCash balance ko.

I actually forgot to take a screenshot of it. Ni-reuse ko na lang yung
screenshot ko before I placed my investment. 

I received a confirmation text message from GCash Invest the next day, around 7:45PM, that my subscription to ATRAM Peso Money Market has been successfully confirmed.

It is stated there that the NAVPU (Net Asset Value Per Unit) of my investment as per that date is 105.17, that's why I only got 0.47 unit out of my P50 investment. (P50 divide by 105.17 = 0.47)

Had I known edi sana nag-invest ako ng 105.17 para may 1 unit ako. But the NAVPU is not available on the subscription screen, so you can only know the value of the unit after you have subscribed.

Ang meron lang kasi sila is yung historical value like this one:

I took this screenshot this week and as you can see, tumubo
na ng P0.02 yung P50 ko. Haha. Anyways, you can see
the historical value of the fund and it is upward.

When you tap on any of the dots, you can see the NAVPU as of that date.

Pero you can't see the current NAVPU habang nag-iinvest ka.

December 11, I checked my investment and its current value is P50.02 na.

We decided to invest regularly, me to invest on Wednesdays at P50 and siya naman 'everyday' daw, with no fixed value, but I believe mag-i-stick siya sa P500. Not sure. Basta ako P50 every Wednesday.

Pag-aaralan ko muna ang takbo nito then I'll make a post kung may bago man akong matutunan or may update sa investment ko. 😉

When I invested again last Wednesday, 0.47 units pa rin at P50.

I did this before their cut-off time of 9AM and I received a confirmation message from them that night.

So if you want your subscription to get confirmed the same day you placed your order, better do it before 9AM. 😁
