Honestly, I was anxious these past few weeks because there is something I want to achieve but I don't know how.
That made me restless even though I am on a holiday break.
We are on the last day of the year, and I still haven't figured out the way to that goal. π
But for now, I will pause for a few hours from thinking about the future and spare some time to look back at the happenings in my life during this year...while drinking some wine. π·
With me and my hubby moving back to Pangasinan, we got to visit our families more often this year.
I love this advantage because I didn't get to do this for the past 14 years living in Cainta.
Now, I get to visit my parents and siblings whenever because it is just an hour drive.
We also got to travel with my hubby's family wherever they planned to.
We experienced the extreme coldness of Malico, San Nicolas, Pangasinan. Much colder than Baguio!
We hiked Mt. Gulugod Baboy in Mabini, Batangas while visiting my sister-in-law's sister whose living nearby.
Having problems with the internet signal there, hubby and I had to go down to Anilao, Batangas and find some hotel to check in because I didn't file a leave from work, and I have a huddle that time. π
Since we're already there, hubby and I also enjoyed the sunset while swimming.
Didn't find much fish under water though.
We frequent Baguio city this year too.
With my hubby's family.
I can't find a family pic on my phone! |
With my colleagues.
But more Baguio times with hubby with just a two-hour or so of bus ride from home.
We also got to celebrate more family members' birthdays this year.
And my family got to visit me too.
First my dad with his sister and Ms. Ruby.
Then my younger brother with his girlfriend, where they brought painting materials, and we did this painting activity.
Then my older brother with his girlfriend, where he ordered everything in the menu of the nearby cafe.
We really got to bond more.
We also got to experiment with food more.
Our first time to cook Cornish hen. Look how tiny it is! |
The dessert I made. |
My version of Rise n' Shine sandwich. |
This is the best! We bought the meat from S&R, and it was so tender no matter how hubby cooked it. |
We also got to visit some nearby places that I wanted to see.
Like the Tayug Sunflower Farm and Eco Park which we visited on a whim while we were strolling at SM Urdaneta, so we arrived there few minutes before 6PM. We were the only customer there and got to watch the sunset for ourselves.
During the height of Alice Guo's case, we visited Bamban, Tarlac and it has a beautiful scenery.
We spent our anniversary by driving 6 hours to Baler, Aurora.
And drove a few hours more the next day to Dinadiawan, Aurora.
Then we drove for 8 hours back home on the third day.
Had a quick nap after we had lunch in Pantabangan. |
Glad I took a leave from work for this.
I also had a pleasant birthday with my hubby's home-cooked meal and my colleagues' surprise gift.
And in between all the life events and travels, we got to slowly build our lovely home.
We still have a long way to go in finishing our house, but I believe we are halfway there.
We are never too far from my friends too, because at least, we got to see each other twice this year. Haha
And we won't be able to do any of these experiences if we don't have our work, which is primarily our source of income.
I am grateful my hubby and I have been blessed with this kind of work setup that enabled us to do all these things.
And ultimately, I am grateful to Him☝️ for providing all of these to us, and for making everything happen according to His will.
We may not have been a perfect disciple, and there were times that we forgot about Him or prioritized other things above Him, but He stayed beside us and didn't let us go astray.
I think He made me remember Him again while writing this year-end post.
He reminded me that all of these are from Him.
And if I have something I want to achieve, I need to consult it to Him if it is still according to His will.
If it is, then He will lead me the way to it. π
So, all in all, I can say that this year is an improved version of last year.
And here's to more improvements, guidance and clarity in our lives next year! πΎπ₯
Happy New Year, everyone~! ππ
