GCash | Updating Profile As A Fully Verified User

Have you ever received this kind of notification even if you are a Fully Verified GCash user?

As I was trying to explore the feature of GSave, a popup appeared that I need to update my profile first before I can use it.

But I changed my mind and did not continue with updating my profile and called it a day.

After that, I received a notification that I need to update my profile to avoid account downgrading on 30 August.

I received a message as well.

So I opened my GCash app that same evening to have it updated.

I went to editing my profile and there are 3 steps to complete.

Firstly needed was a valid ID which is not expired.

Choices are:

  • UMID
  • TIN ID
  • Philhealth Card
  • Driver's License
  • Passport
  • Student's ID
  • Voter's ID

I did not see the other available IDs anymore. Sorry!

I chose TIN ID and was asked to take a photo of it.

After submitting it, I needed to take a photo of myself.

That was fast. It automatically and hastily captures the face once detected, you will have no time to fix yourself.

The third step is filling up my personal information.

After tapping Next, you need to review the information you entered.

Upon tapping Confirm, this will appear:

But I received a notification the next day that my verification was not approved.

So I had to do it again, but this time I used my passport as an ID.

After that, I immediately received a message from GCash that I have successfully updated my profile.

Oh and although my account update was not approved in my first try, my account was successfully pre-registered to GSave when I tapped on it.
